"Manufacturing today is complex. In order to succeed, manufacturers need to find the inherent simplicity amongst all the complexity. Twenty years ago Dr. Eli Goldratt released his highly acclaimed, bestselling business novel, The Goal. The Goal has been the catalyst for many dramatic business transformations, but despite its tremendous influence, there are still organizations who have not truly embraced Goldratt's approach to business.
Peoplesoft challenges you to adopt the principles embraced in The Goal to solve a virtual manufacturing scenario contained in an online simulator. Entering this challenge gives you the opportunity to WIN your choice of either a Toyota Tacoma or Celica. This online manufacturing simulator, developed by Eli Schragenheim and Dr. Goldratt himself, can be downloaded onto your computer beginning January 1, 2004.
The winner will be the contestant who makes the most money for the simulated manufacturing company between January 1, 2004 and April 30, 2004. Deadline for entries is April 30, 2004 at 11:59 pm EST. The winner will be announced at PeopleSoft’s Leadership Summit in May 2004."
